General Volunteer and Teacher Guidelines:

1.        You need to be Saved

2.        You need to be a team player

3.        Be on time for all events and classes, finished with all preparation tasks, and in the classroom ready to receive children at least 20-30 minutes before the class or event begins.

4.        Fulfill your responsibilities and then assist others or areas where help is needed.

5.        If you have to set up or prepare anything for class then you need to be present at church beforehand.

6.        If you need materials/props or anything else for class, you must notify your Children’s Pastor at least 3-5 days before class so that proper preparations can be made.

7.        Dress/Speak/Act Appropriately in a Godly manner both inside and outside of the classroom.

8.        Fill out your volunteer schedule by the deadline given.

9.        Every volunteer needs to attend and participate in all classes offered at Volunteer Workshops to receive Volunteer Certification

10.     Keep a positive attitude.

11.     You need to have a heart of love for children.

12.     If you lead classroom and event activities without adult supervision, you need to be at least 18 years or older.  Helpers/Assistants can be 14-17 years old.  And others in which duties/responsibilities can be assigned to include Ambassadors who are 10-12 years old.

13.     If you are a leader with others under your instruction and direction, you need to be a church member.

14.     You cannot be a previous sex offender.

15.     Must not have anything immoral/indecent etc. of yourself online.

16.     Respect all leadership.

17.     Follow expectations, rules, policies, and procedures at all times.

18.     There needs to be 1 volunteer for every 6-8 kids

19.     No children under the age of 10 are allowed to go anywhere on the grounds by themselves.  Every child must go everywhere in 3’s.

20.     All children must be in proper classrooms by either grade or age.

21.     In case of an emergency, try to control the situation, if you can’t control the situation, get help immediately.  Just don’t leave your class unattended.  Be sure I am notified immediately.  In serious emergency, just call 911

22.     No one at anytime is permitted to shout or touch any child for any reason.

23.     Volunteers need to pick up and turn in name badges before and after services

24.     No kids are allowed into the youth room on Wednesday nights

25.     If you are running late or won’t be present for your event/activity/class:

a.        Contact your coordinator first

b.       Then, if you can’t reach your coordinator, contact your Children’s Pastor
